Senior Accountant

This role is for someone who is ready to lead that work.
What You Will Do
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Own cash flow tracking and flag risks proactively
Lead TRA compliance including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings
Support the migration and ongoing management of our ERP system
Work closely with the Director of Strategy on budgeting, pricing analysis, and financial planning
Manage project accounting across active jobs, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting
Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure accurate costing and stock reconciliation
Oversee departmental and project budgets, tracking performance against plan and flagging variances
Manage and supervise the cashier function, ensuring accurate daily cash handling and reconciliation
Analyze financial data to identify cost inefficiencies and bring forward concrete recommendations
Develop and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding receivables
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce overhead

What We Are Looking For
4 to 6 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or project-based business
Strong working knowledge of Tanzanian tax law and TRA requirements
Experience with at least one ERP or accounting platform (e.g. Quickbooks)
A CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead within a small team
