Project Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to take ownership of our interior projects from the end of the design phase through to final installation. This is the role that ensures what we design is delivered correctly, on time, and to Kisasa's standard.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Project Ownership. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously across production and installation stages, ensuring a smooth transition from design intent to physical execution.
Production Coordination. You will work directly with our in-house workshop and carpentry teams, tracking bespoke furniture and joinery production, verifying that materials, finishes, and detailing match design specifications, and resolving issues before they cause delays or rework.
Procurement Oversight. You will not place orders, but you will track procurement progress across internal teams and suppliers, ensuring materials and items arrive on schedule and flagging risks early.
Site & Installation. You will be present on-site regularly during active installation phases, coordinating installation teams, contractors, and artisans, solving real-time fit and measurement challenges, and ensuring the final result reflects our design intent.
Client Communication. You will be the primary client contact during the delivery phase, providing clear, consistent progress updates and managing expectations professionally.
Design Coordination. You will work closely with our designers for approvals and clarifications, escalating uncertainties early to protect design integrity through every stage.
Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in project management, interiors, construction, or furniture production
Ability to read technical drawings and work accurately with measurements
Experience coordinating workshop teams, contractors, or site teams
Strong organizational skills and comfort with project management tools (Excel, Odoo, or similar)
Sound aesthetic judgment — not designing, but holding quality standards
Fluent in English and Swahili
Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely hands-on. You solve problems in real time rather than waiting for direction. You communicate clearly with clients, artisans, and internal teams alike. You take ownership seriously.
Why Join Kisasa
This is a central role in ensuring Kisasa’s design vision is executed with precision in the real world. You will be at the heart of delivery — where craftsmanship, timing, and detail matter most.
